Meeting date in Astana

Our in-country co-coordinator will be meeting the Ministry people about our file on 8th Jan 2013 (Tuesday), which is in 3 days. Dare we hope!? Fingers crossed. It is the 1st working day of the year after a week long Holiday, so it is nice to know that T is on top of things.

The search for names continues. Anyone with suggestions for names that have an apt/nice meaning, esp something like: loved, wished for, hope, happy, beautiful etc are welcome to send in their suggestions pls. In any language, from all over the world. We have a name if its a boy, so girl names are invited. :)

A muslim born child (strong possibility if matching is done based on our Asian heritage as we said we're more than ok with a mixed race child) coming into a Hindu father and Sikh mother's life in multicultural but largely Christian Canada...Now how's that for diverse upbringing. ;) There are going to be lots of festivals from all religions being celebrated in our home, as always have been.

I am wondering if this blog should go private after the ministry meeting, till the process is completed. Just to avoid any complications that may arise if left open while we are in the process.
Parents who've gone through this, your advice?

  1. Hello Rasna

Some people go private some don't. In fact i don't know what's best.

But i do know that Blogger had some problem of communication in the past(in Kazakhstan). Now i don't know. A think you can do is create an email adress in blogger(.....@blogger.com) and if blogger doesn't work then you can send and email to your blogger adress via your standard email address. The subject will become the title and the text your comment.

My file is also in Kazakhstan and will present next week.

    Best regard

    Sophie

  2. Going private is a good idea as it allows you to share with your close family and friends and not worry about sharing things you shouldn't. I chose to leave my blog public and just made sure never to show pictures of Denis until after court.

  3. Thanks Sophie and Michele. :)
Congrats Sophie! That's great! With all the holidays and other delays Im sure they are other files catching up now. I am just wishing and hoping that the Canadian and Kaz relations stay strong and nothing of the sort that has happened in US with the disruption, happens here. My heart goes out to families affected.
I think I will make it private for a few months till court, as well, once we make our first trip. Anyone interested can always ask me for the password and I can send it to them till that time.

Sophie, do you have a blog? Would love to read it if so. Michele, no activity on the Canadian group lately. Nice and quiet it seems.
